The process of Freiham’s development is examined and measured aesthetically by means of the body and movement. Postures and costumes are used playfully to react to the architecture on piles of gravel and rubble, on the disappearing farmland and on the construction sites. The starting point for exploratory tours is an installation on a centrally located piece of wasteland. Social activities will also take place here, such as improvised film projections, an open-air kitchen and physical exercise lessons outdoors with a school class. Different perspectives will be taken on the emerging city, as if through a kaleidoscope. Over the course of three months, we will endeavor to exchange views with residents, urban planners and social institutions. Material collected during this period will be collaged together in a film.
In an interdisciplinary collaboration, kaldeidoskop.freiham operates between the fields of fine arts, education, architecture and urban studies.
