Ghost(ing) the Crowd is a speculative street opera, conceived and performed by community dance artist, Justin F Kennedy and special guests, for Public Art München 2026. Ghost(ing) the Crowd, a wordplay on dark tourism, treats Europe as a site of loss, dark humor, & irony, leaning into the paradox of finding leisure in tragedy. Using the whimsy of Calypso, an Afro-Caribbean musical tradition that addresses pressing political realities in a disarmingly casual tone, this interactive performance tour reveals social grievances while at the same time seducing and ghosting its audience.
Special Guest: Navild Acosta
Justin F. Kennedy, born in 1983 in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, lives and works in Berlin.
