The Billboard is back—starting in October at Hanns-Seidel-Platz in Neuperlach

Since 2013, the Billboard has been a defining part of the traffic island at Lenbachplatz in downtown Munich. Until the end of 2024, a varied program featuring over 50 motifs was displayed there.

The Billboard has now been moved to Neuperlach. A new art space is being created between the Neuperlach Zentrum subway station and the PEP. A large number of people pass through this area every day, primarily residents of Neuperlach. The program will now focus more closely on the immediate surroundings, the local residents, and their everyday lives. The artistic contributions will respond to the neighborhood’s unique characteristics and inspire new perspectives. In addition, the focus of Munich-based artists will be directed toward Neuperlach, initiating a dialogue with the location.

The new edition of the Billboard will be officially launched on 1 October, starting at 5:00 pm, in cooperation with KulturBunt Neuperlach and Neuperland. Featuring an introduction to the Billboard by the Public Art München team and to the “Animal Neighborhood” project by Raumfragen. Music by Grosses K , Fate, Mike Sense and Inajah. Snacks and drinks afterward.
