Eight people perform a choreographed dance together in a decorated event hall. They stand in a line, moving in sync, while other participants watch or join in from the background. Blue and white balloons and directional signs on the pillars give the space the atmosphere of a dance or cultural event.

Performance "Munich Through The Eyes of Dance" – Excursion 2: Bahnhofsviertel

We invite you to join us for two mobile dance excursions through Munich. Together, we will explore places of urban dance life beyond official city and dance history: parks, basements, clubs, former gathering spots, and public spaces.

Drawing on oral histories from the “Münchner Tanzgeschichten” project by CHAKKARs – Moving Interventions, the excursions bring to life a living archive—shaped by migrant and diasporic communities, amateur dance, club cultures, and urban scenes. Mapping, personal stories, short dance fragments, and spontaneous interventions come together to form a collective movement through the city—as a physical space of memory.

Accessibility note: Not wheelchair accessible. The tour includes longer walking segments of approximately 10–15 minutes.

Participation: Maximum of 15 participants. Registration is recommended to secure a spot:
