Performance "Munich Mural"

Alluding to the politically and religiously charged history of mural painting, the Munich Mural project questions what the mural at Marienhof actually conveys to passersby. The 350-meter-long rendering combines stock photos of fictional passersby with photographs of Marienhof and is intended to depict a Munich of the future. Yet there are glaring gaps.

The Munich Mural stand offers audio guides and tours of the new attraction. Visual nuances are examined through an art-historical lens. In the evening, passersby can listen to a sound installation of the noise barrier on MP3 players.
