Opening "Nach:Leben"
Opening Event at Georg-Freundorfer-Platz
NACH:LEBEN (After:Life) is a performative, interactive, and participatory art project involving relatives and survivors of right-wing, racist, and/or anti-Semitic violence. The work creates mobile sites of remembrance and leaves traces in public spaces—places of commemoration, resistance, and resilience.
Drawing on numerous personal interviews and conversations, the artistic team—Cana Bilir-Meier, Chana Boekle, and Silvia Troian—is working in close collaboration with those affected, their families, and initiatives from Munich to develop a sculpture with its own visual language that expresses their experiences, wishes, and demands for accountability, visibility, and justice.
The opening of the art project NACH:LEBEN invites you to listen, participate, and connect: There will be speeches by those affected, their relatives, and supporters, as well as music, drinks, and much more. At the hands-on stations, you can design your own buttons, work with stencils, and take part in an interactive program.
