Purposes and legal basis of data processing

Your data is collected in order to send you timely information on city and city-sponsored cultural offerings and is processed on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 a GDPR. Your personal data will not be passed on. There are no plans to transfer your personal data to a third country/international organization.

Duration of storage of personal data

Your data will be stored after collection for as long as this is necessary to fulfill the task or you ask for deletion.
If you no longer wish to receive the Culture Department’s newsletter, you can unsubscribe informally by sending an e-mail to kunst@muenchen.de.

According to the General Data Protection Regulation you have the following rights:

If your personal data is processed, you have the right to receive information about the data stored about you (Article 15 GDPR).

If incorrect personal data is processed, you have the right to rectification (Article 16 GDPR).

If the legal requirements are met, you can request the deletion or restriction of processing and object to the processing (Articles 17, 18 and 21 GDPR).
If you have consented to the data processing or if there is a contract for data processing and the data processing is carried out using automated procedures, you may have a right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).

If you make use of your above rights, the City of Munich will check whether the legal requirements for this are met.
Furthermore, there is a right of appeal to the Bavarian State Commissioner for Data Protection.

If you have given your consent to the processing by the City of Munich by means of a corresponding declaration, you can revoke your consent at any time for the future. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation is not affected by this.

The City of Munich needs your data in order to be able to send you information. If you do not provide the required personal data, your application cannot be processed.
